What makes a community a special place to live? Randolph has a uniquely diverse fabric of life, unlike any other community on the South Shore. People from every country in the world call Randolph “home”. Our community is a microcosm of the 21st century world community.
That unique sense of community will be on full display in our new Randolph Intergenerational Community Center. People of all ages, interests, perspectives, and backgrounds can gather for recreation, education, relaxation, socialization, enrichment, and community building in this exciting new 30,000+ square foot hub of the community.
Our new center is the vision of thousands of Randolph residents who have participated in community meetings, design workshops, and made their voices heard to make this historic project happen. The center has only come to fruition because the community made it so.
But building a new building is the easy part; now we must run programs, activities, events, and meetings that make our residents proud. Our goal is to have 32,000+ people looking forward to next time they step inside this amazing community building. We will capitalize upon the diverse backgrounds and interests of our people to provide a tremendous range of programming and cultural enrichment opportunities. We will continue to listen to our residents to meet their needs for a 21st century community center.
Once this amazing center opens in 2017, Randolph will never be the same. I can’t wait!
